MSCI Russia Index may include X5 Retail, Megafon, RUSAL

MOSCOW, Mar 5 (PRIME) -- Several large Russian companies, including grocery retailer X5 Retail, mobile operator MegaFon and aluminum giant UC RUSAL, may be added to the component list of the MSCI Russia index, VTB Capital analyst Ilya Pitersky said in a research note on March 2.

According to the note, MSCI also paid special attention to power company En+ Group, precious metals producer Polymetal International, power producer RusHydro and oil pipeline monopoly Transneft.

The MSCI Russia index’s components list presently comprises 22 companies, including top bank Sberbank, oil companies Lukoil, Tatneft and gas giant Gazprom.
